Alessandro,

Thanks for the response.
Using "net time" as search query has resulted in some articles on Microsoft technet (following had the most information: http://msdn2.microsoft.com/en-us/library/bb608215.aspx) , but there does not seems to be way to tell windows to always slow down the time instead of correcting it in one update.

Maybe I can increase the PhaseCorrectRate? Anyway I will first try to disable the service to check if the time sync was indeed the cause of the crashes.

PS) the name seems to be changed to w32tm

Hi Freek,

on windows there should be the "net time" utility which can synchronize system time.

net time /help for further information.

Hope this helps,

Alessandro

Hi,

I have an oracle rac (10.2.0.3) configuration which runs on windows (windows 2003 SP2). On linux/unix I configure the NTP settings (to keep the time between the different rac nodes in sync) in such a way that, in case the time of the node is ahead of the time on the NTP server, it will not sync the time in one update but instead gradually slows down the time (stretching the seconds). Does anybody know how this must be done on windows?
