Correct--support was never in question. As long as clusterware version >= ASM and RDBMS versions, it should be supported well. However, if you mix software versions, then ASM functionality reverts to the earliest software installation that it supports. For example, if you install Oracle Clusterware 11g with ASM, and you use it to support an existing Oracle Database release 10.2.0.3 installation, then ASM functionality is equivalent to that available only in the Oracle Database 10.2 release version. “
