Hi Andrew,

changing the hostname from asbx.us.transit.com to asbx stopped the ORA-600. but I am still getting this error while starting the listener. Any Idea?

lsnrctl start listener

LSNRCTL for Linux: Version 10.2.0.3.0 - Production on 08-JAN-2008 13:42:48

Copyright (c) 1991, 2006, Oracle. All rights reserved.

Starting /dba01/apps/product/10.2/bin/tnslsnr: please wait...

TNS-12537: TNS:connection closed
 TNS-12560: TNS:protocol adapter error
  TNS-00507: Connection closed
   Linux Error: 29: Illegal seek

Please advise.

thanks
_Prasad
