Hi Mark,

This error

RMAN-20088: Message 20088 not found; product=RDBMS; facility=RMAN

seems to be coming for different RMAN software version between the rman used for the backup you have and the restore you are doing . in this case you might do a disaster recovery first and then do the upgrade .
