RMAN duplication and disk space

I've been bitten once too many now by rman duplications failing due to not-enough-disk on the auxiliary server. Usually after we grow the file systems on production, but not on development.

I was about to embark on writing a utility to check the two, but thought I'd ask if RMAN didn't have some built-in utilities to verify that the auxiliary has enough disk for the duplication.

Thoughts and suggestions are always welcome.

Don.
