Anurag,

You do not have to take the file OFFLINE. Here is an example

  Thanks

Hi All,

When we do the block recovery to fix block corruption, do the affected datafile need to be taken OFFLINE?

Or will the datafile be unavailable to the users during the block recovery?

My database is in 10g RAC (10.2.0.3.0) on a 4 Node RAC n Solaris 9 with Netapp filers and Oracle Clusterware as clustering solution.

  Thanks,
