RE: sqlnet.ora problem

Tnsping will list where your sqlnet.ora file should be if it finds one.

If nothing there it lists nothing..    

Example:

Used parameter files:

/u01/app/oracle/product/10.2.0/db_1/network/admin/sqlnet.ora

I am not sure when it checks for .sqlnet.ora, though I have been told its in the sequence. Here are the other places I know it checks (in no particular order):      

$ORACLE_HOME/network/admin/sqlnet.ora

$TNS_ADMIN:sqlnet.ora

/var/opt/oracle/sqlnet.ora
