If you perform instance recovery (ie Crash Recovery) on the cloned database (because you have the controlfiles and online redo logs -- not my caveat that the controlfiles
and online redo logs must be from the same snapshot as the datafiles, in my earlier email
titled "Re: NetApp flier - based snapshots and db backups -- CAVEATS"

and are able to open it without having to do a RESETLOGS, there are ways to apply "future" Archivelogs to it.
