From a presentation to Management Perspective need the following:-
What are the limiting factors to scalability from the Database
perspective & how can they be addressed?
Some Examples:-
- Data model (e.g. inappropriate Driving table or index, Large
tables that are not partitioned)
- architecture (e.g. inappropriate design)
Additionally What are the limiting factors to scalability from an
Application perspective & how they can be addressed?
Some Examples:-
- Architecture
- Constraints of the development toolset
- Inefficient usage of Machine resources by Batch Jobs
- Inability to stream parts of a batch job
- Common application service causing a bottleneck
- Network traffic between app and DB server
NOTE - Ours is a Banking Product (Hybrid nature of Transactions)
