Greetings,

I am investigating the use of transportable tablespaces as a means of doing a fast refresh of a development database from production. We are still on Oracle 9i and both servers are running Solaris. As I am reading the documentation my understanding is that tablespaces must be 'self-contained.' When the database was created some years ago I put indexes in one tablespace and tables in another. As I understand it I must move all the indexes into the same tablespace as the tables Or vice versa) in order to use this feature. Is my understanding correct or is there a way to work with this?

Thanks.
