If you can live without the contents of the tablespace, you *may* be able to take the tablespace offline before you open and execute an offline drop.

You *might* try just starting up with the tablespace offline to see if the more relaxed fet$ cleanup mechanism works can be used with the tablespace merely offline rather than dropped.

This all presumes that the underlying problem is triggering the pecimal dictionary based extent deallocation algorithm.

Your mileage may vary. Got copies of your online logs and control files, etc. and your as is tablespace files for the tablespace in question before you do anything irreverable if you don't already have known secure backups.
