The problem does exist when upgrading from 9.2.0.6 to 9.2.0.8. Our issue occurred in snapshots from a few small NT databases to our hp-ux databases. The bug is random and didn't occur in test prior to the upgrade, but it eventually hit every database that pulled data from a windows db to hp-ux over a link.

On the bright side, we only had to apply the patch on the hp-ux side, it installs quickly and didn't require scripts against the db. Downside - an unplanned shutdowns less than a week after a major patching weekend.
