I've been wondering that myself...something about having to traverse the Java bind variable area, maybe?

Paul,  

I could propose a theory on why you are seeing what you are seeing with Java. It might have something to do with Java memory management. Maybe the successive executions are building up a larger memory area. Maybe even triggering a Java memory garbage collection. Just a thought, not a Java expert by any means.
