But you mustn have a RAC configuration for init.ora file

#*.cluster_database_instances=2
#*.cluster_database=true

datafiles are independent from RAC configuration. For easy recovery you can put all archived logs to one location which you will set for NONRAC configuration.

I have tried this when i clone our RAC databases worked fine.
