St. Louis Missouri company needs an Oracle DBA to join their staff.

Salary range 60-80K..depends on experience.

No Relocation assistance is provided.

Minimum 3 or more years in Oracle Database Administration. 3 or more years of programming experience in developing small applications and script development for automating administration tasks and other repetitive tasks including report writing. Preferred programming languages are PL/SQL, visual Basic, .NET, Java and Linux Shell Scripting. Strong project management and leadership abilities required. Certifications in related duties and responsibilities are strongly desired. Bachlelors Degree preferred.

General Comments
We are looking for someone who can work well under limited supervision, provides support, maintenance, and installation of business information systems. Primary responsibilities are Oracle Database Administration, special application development/support, and interacting with internal and external personnel for training, problem resolution, and project completion. In addition, this position will act as backup for ENTERPRISEONE Specialist as needed.

Qualified applicant must show experience and expertise in, but not limited to:

  1. Perform troubleshooting, maintenance, installation, and security administration of several Oracle databases. This includes but is not limited to performance tuning, PLSQL stored procedures and SQL script development, backup and recovery, standby database management, and report development.
  2. Perform troubleshooting, maintenance, installation, and security administration of Windows and Linux based systems where Oracle databases and applications reside. This includes but is not limited to performance tuning, installation, security, backup and recovery, and maintenance.
  3. Develop skills to backup the ENTERPRISEONE specialist as needed.
  4. Perform development, troubleshooting, maintenance, installation, and security administration for special applications utilizing several different programming environments including report development and maintenance.
  5. Perform research and analysis of networks, systems, hardware, software, applications, and security requirements to design, develop, plan, and integrate new capabilities with existing systems and implementation processes.
  6. Perform routine preventive maintenance on supported systems.
  7. Develop and maintain new skills to accomplish assigned tasks and responsibilities.
  8. Perform miscellaneous job-related duties as assigned.
  9. Maintain documentation on hardware and software for supported systems.
  10. Provide team guidance and systems expertise to team members assigned for specific tasks in accordance with established standards and practices for the systems being supported.
  11. Coordinate internal and external personnel in the completion of projects and tasks when necessary.
  12. Travel (via plane or automobile) to branch sites to perform any of the above duties. Maybe necessary to leave on very short notice.
