Amir,

Not Oracle Applications. It's an Oracle Forms & Reports application developed under Oracle Application Server.

Tom,

I am assuming that you are using release 11i of Oracle Apps. The APPLSYS.FND_USER table contains information on the application accounts. All application accounts connect to the database via the APPS database schema. So, you will be authenticated to the apps via FND_USER but the application will make connection to the database via database schema APPS. Oracle apps does not come pre-configured with SSO and OID. You will need to find appropriate documents on Metalink to implement that.

Is the app configured to use SSO using OID?

	All,

I've inherited an Oracle Applications/Forms & Reports system
here. We need to move it all to a new set of servers.

I've been looking within Oracle Portal itself and have one simple question.

How does the application know which Oracle Account to log into? Is there connect information stored someplace that ties a portal page to a specific Oracle Account/Password & connect string? It's hidden pretty good from what I can see.

        Thanks for any clues.
