10.2.0.2 over HP-UX 11.23 performance

We have migrating an 1,5TB database and we are having problems with "log file parallel write" waits.

Redologs are over EMC Clariom and we have redolog writes at 25MB/s max. doing an local import. redo members are 6GB each. No checkpoints.

HP-UX 11.23 rx8640 Itanium Montecito.

We are using Veritas Filesystem an it seems very hardly to configure... lots of parameters.

anyone are having trouble with this combination ?

anyone tried to put redo member into an RAM disk (only during migration)?
