I minor issue is the problem with exchange partition. Both the table and the partition must have same (or compatible) columns *AND* same list of unused columns (otherwise ORA-14097 is raised). This is sometimes overlooked if the exchange table is created dynamically based on user_tab_columns only. USER_UNUSED_COL_TABS must be considered as well.
