Thanks again Mladen, but we do have it set already:

SQL> show parameter filesystem

NAME                                 TYPE        VALUE

------------------------------------ ----------- ------
filesystemio_options string setall

Also, my understanding is that any pages cached by the AIX filesystem buffer for a JFS2 filesystem will be categorized as "client" pages and svmon reports that all our pinned pages are classified as "working", not persistent or client:

               work       pers       clnt
pin        *1889668*         0          0
in use      2872322          0    1211786
