Yes it is..in fact, if Larry hadn't shafted Sun with no 9i ports to x86 Solaris, we might not be so beholden to the madness of the Linux ecosystem.

That aside, Sol x86 was not really that good, but then neither was RH 2.1 for crying out loud :-)
