Hi all,

Oracle-l subscribers whose mail servers implement SpamCop are not getting mails from the list at the moment. Several hundred people are affected!

 From http://www.spamcop.net/w3m?action=blcheck&ip=206.53.239.180

"206.53.239.180 [is] listed in bl.spamcop.net

Causes of listing

System has sent mail to SpamCop spam traps in the past week (spam traps are secret, no reports or evidence are provided by SpamCop)

Listing History

In the past 28.2 days, it has been listed 3 times for a total of 3.2 days"

If you are not getting email from oracle-l at the moment, you have two options

  1. Wait for SpamCop to de-list the freelists server - which will happen after 24 hours of no spam reports or a successful dispute of the listing by freelists.org. In the meanwhile you can read the list via the web page. Once the problem is resolved, you will probably need to subscribe again, request the posting privilege again, and hope (with me) that the problem does not happen again soon. Please watch the web site for a note from me to say that problem has been resolved before attempting to resubscribe.
  2. Alternatively, please consider subscribing to oracle-l from another email system that does not implement SpamCop blocking.

Our thanks go to the staff at freelists who are doing their best to fix this for us.
