What is the simplest way to determine what the unix TZ is set to for a particular instance from within the instance? What I am going to have is a instance running with TZ set to pacific time on a server with other instances running central time. I want to prevent the instance from opening if TZ is not set correctly. Trying to avoid calling out to the OS if I can, any internal tables which would store this?
