..The new twist here is that, if you wait long enough, your non-rolling patch may become rolling :) (that's what happened to Jul 06 that was non rolling but now, when included in CPU October 06, is rolling).

...Luca, great thread. We've covered the controversial topic of "rolling patchs" and "rolling upgrades" here several times each time the topic of shared Oracle Home comes up. The topic never dies, but the marketing hype rolls on...
