Derya,

what are the values set for minperm and maxperm? Also, the values for minfree/maxfree. these parameter should be set correctly. have a chat with your systems administrator.

If you are using AIX 5.3, you should have this update : IY58143.

i read somewhere that you need to use GPFS 2.3.0.1 for AIX 5.2 and above. Also, have you reviewed ML note 302806.1

do you really want to use GPFS ?? :-)
