I can't comment on 9208 but we've had a number of dramas with 9207 (solaris 32bit single instance), mainly related to

  1. shared pool issues (but our app's not a shining example of good shared pool use)
  2. parallel query slaves spinning
  3. ora-600's, 7445's on more "leading edge" things (multi-table insert, merge command)

Another client runs RAC solaris 32bit and I quote: 'moving from 9204 to 9207 was a big mistake' (they're now moving to linux...)

So even unseen, I'd probably recommend you give 9208 a whirl...
