RE: Oracle 10 Agent Discovering 9i databases

Thanks for the reply. Below is a snip of the emagent.trc file. The Dbsnmp password has been changed. I attempted to change it in the targets.xml file and restarted the agent. The agent does connect successfully to our one 10g database.  

Any ideas?

Hi Thomas,

can you be a little more specific ?

Does the agent discover the 9i databases ? Or can it simply not connect ?
Verify $AGENT_HOME/sysman/log/emagent.trc for any hints on what goes wrong.

I am finally trying to get 10g Grid up and running. I am trying to get our 10g agents (10.1.0.2.0) to discover and connect to our 9i databases (9.2.0.7). I have successfully connected to our 10.2 databases. I found the targets.xml file in the 10g agent home that looks like it replaces the snmp_rw.ora file that the 9i agent used. But I am getting a connect error (invalid usercode/password) when the 10g agent tries to connect.  

Any ideas?
