Hmm to upgrade or patch a 9.2.0.6 database to 9.2.0.7 (or any newer version)
you start the database with 9.2.0.7 binaries. Assumming Cloning doesnt mean
RMAN clone so I guess you can.

Copy your 9.2.0.6 backup to 9.2.0.7, startup migrate (or upgrade, check patchset README.html) and run the catpatch.sql script
