ORACLE Financials DBA -

Salary: $90,000 - $110,000

  Description:
  Client has a fulltime requirement (possibly temp to perm) for a senior ORACLE Financials DBA. The primary duties will be as a production ORACLE Financials DBA for ORACLE 11i databases. He/she will be responsible for monitoring, performance tuning, trouble-shooting, back-up and recovery, partitioning, replication, and configurations in the production environment.

Responsibilities include: troubleshoot day to day database and application issues; support multiple databases in production environments; responsible for partitioning data sets; responsible for applying patches and upgrades; optimizing database performance by analyzing objects, generating statistics, creating indexes and views; providing on call support; and assisting end users and development teams.

Qualifications for the position include: advanced knowledge of ORACLE DBA tasks; understanding of application, system and hardware security; solid understanding of ORACLE Financials suite of applications; logical and physical database design skills; a minimum of 5 years experience as an ORACLE DBA; and any experience in Data Warehouse, OLTP, and UNIX would be a plus.

A temporary to permanent situation may be available.
