Solaris Oracle Client - Installation

Hi List,

We are going to use Solaris 9 for the application server ( vendor proprietory) and it requires the Oracle 9201 client. The database is on different HP box. For the Oracle client installation on Solaris

Is there any separate client CD for the Oracle 9.2.0.1 on Solaris platform OR Should this be installed from the Database Server CD?
For the client installation, Should the kernal and Patch requirement be checked or Can it be installed with out meeting the requirement for the Server installation?
