Niall,  

That query ran longer than I have been alive! Another good place to look for SQL that might be gone from the SQL area is in dba_hist_sqltext (and the plan in dba_hist_sql_plan).  

Obviously those durations are a bug. That's the first time I've seen it.

We have a number of 1555's in the alert log over the weekend. However I don't entirely believe the duration, since the query apparently dates from before Oracle was invented  

ORA-01555 caused by SQL statement below (SQL ID: dsphq1qsnymv8, Query Duration=1154655032 sec, SCN: 0x0000.dd9542ce):

I don't get any rows returned when I query v$sql on the above sql_id. (the sql id is always the same). Anyone else seen these ludicrous durations?
