BING! (from win32 land)
Its been quite a long time since I was messing with 8.1.7.4 on win32, but I do recall that
"large memory configuration" was broken in the 8.1.7.3.0 patchset and wasn't fixed until 9.2.0.
Is it possible that you recently went to 8.1.7.4.x from 8.1.7.2.x or earlier?

Can you just upgrade to 10.1.0.x or 10.2.0.2?

If you find yourself using the word "telnet" somewhere, be it in an email or
a conversation, please stop and say "I'm sorry, I meant to use ssh instead."
