I have never sussed out why when I post sometimes from my work account it comes sometimes from my proper address and sometimes from oracle-l-bounce_at_freelists.org

Anyone else see that happening?

John

The only time we seem to need a resync is when we run out of space and tar and archived log file or remove one inadvertently. This sometimes happens if we test a recovery and bring back a few archived logs and then delete them again without letting RMAN do the job properly.

Change archivelog all crosscheck; (or validate)
