I tried dbms_repair.segment_fix_status... Now partially freed extents get reused. But the smaller ones aren't reused yet. This is a bug as Metalink note 3329096.8 states. A patch for various operating systems is available but sadly not for AIX. If you're on some other OS search Metalink for this note. The note also states, that a fix for this bug is incorporated into 9.2.0.6. I assume that either ORACLE forgot to put the fix into the AIX code or incorporated the fix into 9.2.0.7.

As a hint you might dump the blocks out of those freed extents in the beginning of the segment and see what's really there.

I hope you will solve this as one of those 150.000 records inserted daily there might be one "mine". ;-) So I hope you won't run out of space on "my" row.
