Hi,
The reason of this is those sessions are not aware of they’ve been killed at the moment. The next request they’ll make to the server will be responsed by the information of they don’t exist on the server side anymore. They’ll be removed from V$SESSION following this notification as well.

I had killed few session in Oracle 10g (10.2.0.2) in last 24 hours but those session are still shown in V$session as status KILLED. I hope that they will be removed from the V$session as been released by pmon
