Hi all,

We are running a producion system on 2-Node RAC(10.1.0.4) on Solaris 5.8.

We are also maintaining standby database on a different system which will always be in MRM.

Now my question to you all is , can i take a RMAN backup of this standby database while it is still in MRM mode. as of now we are cancelling the MRM and putting it in mount state before taking the backup.

Is there any problem if i initiate the RMAN backup when it is still in MRM.

Please let me know your comments in this regard.
       Thanks in advance.

Regards,
Ravi.M
