Well, it's a long story, well told in the Oracle Documentation on RAC installation. It boils down to:

  1. Verify the system setup as per the doc (i.e. patches, ssh config, ip addresses, ...)
  2. use your Os tools (what OS BTW?) to create you raw devices, at least 3 of them
  3. install Clusterware (I suppose you're talking about a 10g RAC, it will use at least 2 of the raw devices for voting and OCR)
  4. install the DB software
  5. if you want to use ASM configure it, otherwise, you have to have a cluster FS so that the remaining raw can be formatted as an FS under this CFS, and then use it to create the DB (if you have a CFS, you can also use it to manage the voting and OCR).
