that is an interesting command alias for uname(1)... I used to work with a guy that aliased his common typos too :-) or was this not a cut and paste...tell the truth now :-)

        Might you have meant the following:         

# rpm -e sendmail
        

        At least one of the BSD branches dropped sendmail from their distro.
