I like Oracle's DBMS engine. Every other piece of software that Oracle has produced is pretty bad.

Metalink is not all that useful (IMHO) but it's essential for the few things that it exclusively controls (patches).

I don't install the latest version of Oracle (I'm a big fan of "trailing edge" technology). If Oracle insists that users test its software them I'll wait until testing is over before I use it.

I resent the idea that just because a piece of software says "Oracle" in its name I will know anything about it. I don't want to have anything to do with most of Oracle's software.
