Hi

I am talking with Logic so I might be wrong

  1. ASM is itself sort of a Volume Manager, it manages the RAW disks so I doubt it very much you can use a Volume Manager to manage ASM disks.
  2. ASM Stripes your SAN logical volumes, i dont think it would affect your I/O performance
