and I just to add, my current client's sys admin built all their (raw) database volumes as concat's not stripes, because "it made adding disk easier"...Anyone know if Veritas can convert these to stripes without a monster outage to shift all the stuff around.

Surprise, surprise this client has IO headaches (read: hot spots) , but are claiming "its all too late now - we can't change"..
