We are using this in 9.0.2.7 and it is working great! You can use it in a trial basis before you purchase the license. That is what we did. If it works for you then you can purchase the product, if not, deinstall it.

Subject: Advanced Security Option in Oracle10g

Greetings,

We're running 9.2.0.6 but are interested in the Advanced Security Option of 10g (to make use of its "Transparent Data Encryption" feature). Can someone confirm that the various ASO packages are in fact part of the Enterprise Edition for 10g (under "custom install"?), but since the ASO is a separately licensed option, we aren't supposed to use it until licensed?

Thanks,

Gerry
