I got bitten by this one only yesterday on some legacy systems on an old Solaris server. The server has been up 253 days and we shut down the database for some maintenance. It stuck. Abort sorted that out. Wouldn't start up again, looping in SEMOP according to truss. Oh hum.

Still, at least we'll only get hit every 248 days, some poor sods out there are/were getting hit every 24.8 days. Nasty !

Cheers,
Norman.
