dg_config is specific to DataGuard.

Any reason why you are not using DataGuard .. It is quite mature in in 10g.

Subject: Dataguard 10.1.0.4.0 Linux

Hi, just in the process of creating a physical standby database without using dataguard, ie using SQL. Am getting the following error.

ORA-16057: DGID from server not in Data Guard configuration

Checked out what I can think off, ie db_unique_name matches whats in log_archive_config on the standby side.

log_archive_config                   string
dg_config=raprn
db_unique_name                       string
raprn
fal_client                           string
raprn
fal_server                           string
caprn

Any ideas?

TIA
