Fly, the steps should be documented pretty well in the release notes/readme after you extract the .zip file. I followed those in the past without any real difficulty. There's not much to it if you're upgrading from 9204 or higher if you're on Linux that is. That was the release I believe Oracle moved away from the watchdog process and there were more steps to do in the config files.

Hit me up off-line if you're unclear of something - I've done this numerous times on linux.
