But the DB control you have to pay extra for right? My teammate got pushed into a very early upgrade to 10G and couldn't figure out how to transfer the many jobs he ran from OMS. We would have had to upgrade to 10g on that to handle our new 10g instance and all of our lower versioned instances. Could we have managed all of that using DB Control?

(don't know if there's an interface to DBMS_JOB or DBMS_SCHEDULER). DB control has a job scheduler of its own.

Do you know if it has a job or an event scheduler?

exist--there are some things that the DB control cannot do (e.g. Data Guard broker); for those you have to use the Java console.

GRID in the beginning as a replacement for OEM. It turns out there is an OEM for 10g DBs. I think it's on the client install. I haven't seen it, but I understand it's there.

Has anyone been able to view a 10g DB w
OEM? I'm having difficultly transitioning to Grid Control or dbcontrol. At this point I'm finding it awkward and time-consuming using it as a replacement for OEM. How is everyone else transistioning? I'm considering using Quest Tools instead.
