Hi,

The problem with this I see is wasting a lot of time with this nickle and dime crud. We simply use network attached storage and produce period reports showing growth and audit the growth to make sure it is needed. Also we have a list of whether lack of purging and archiving is the problem.

Subject: Capacity Planning

Hi

I was wondering if anyone know any source about effective Oracle RDBMS Capacity Planning. I mean effective because in the past I have seen many so called "Capacity Plan" which failed miserably in the practice. I am not sure how can a DBA perform Capacity Planning without knowing much about the application?

Cheers

LSC
