Hi,    

  Assuming your controlfiles will be in 2 disk groups +DG1 and +DG2 do the following    

  -alter database backup controlfile to trace
-Shutdown the database
-Edit the controlfiles parameter to include both the diskgroups
-Startup nomount
-Recreate the controlfiles

I tried asmcmd, there is no cp command.
