I've been on a few Learning Tree courses (Oracle and UNIX) and generally found them to be good. There's a couple of downsides I've noted. They are definitely intro courses only, they'll give you a good grounding in the basics but still leave a lot you have to learn yourself. Nowhere near the level of detail you'd get from an Oracle University course (but then they're a fraction of the price). The other is that, in the UK at least but I believe elsewhere as well, for hands on courses it's two students per PC. The claim is that this helps the learning process as you can help each other out. My experience is more that by the end of the week I want to eviserate the other person.
