If you don't live in Bangalore, India, just ignore ...

Folks,

I am coming to Bangalore on business errands and will be in town between Monday Dec 12th and Friday Dec 16th inclusive. Firstly I would be delighted to meet the listers I am not already in touch with if this is possible - contact me off-list. Secondly what I have to do (mostly a meeting) will let me with a lot of time. I have just written a book on SQL that targets developers with at least one year of database development experience (I must emphatically say that it isn't a SQL primer for people fresh out of college). It will be published by O'Reilly next February but you can already find a quick description on Amazon if you search my name. If you think that your developers might be interested by what somebody who wrote his first SELECT in 1983 and spent most of the last 20 years improving code speed has to say on the topic, I can prepare a one-day seminar. Contact me OFF-LIST for details. If you don't live in Bangalore then you should never, ever have reached this sentence and should be ashamed of yourself. I hope you are.

Regards,

Stephane Faroult
