Brandon

Remember that not only you need a slightly bigger SGA, but that most binaries and libraries are larger as well... Below, as example, the size of the binary "oracle" for different releases on one of our test systems:

oracle_at_ttchp02:/u00/app/oracle/ [rdbms1020] ls -l /u00/app/oracle/product/*/bin/oracle | cut -c 38-
38525112 Jun 27 2004 /u00/app/oracle/product/8.1.7/bin/oracle
59626624 Apr 26 2002 /u00/app/oracle/product/9.0.1/bin/oracle
75685016 Jan 17 2003 /u00/app/oracle/product/9.2.0/bin/oracle
114790832 Sep 1 2004 /u00/app/oracle/product/10.1.0/bin/oracle 131503552 Nov 4 09:54 /u00/app/oracle/product/10.2.0/bin/oracle

Chris
